Obituary for Anne M. Springfield

Anne M. Springfield of Willow Grove, PA passed away at Abington Hospital-Jefferson Health, Abington, PA on Saturday, September 10, 2016. She was 62.

Born in Chestnut Hill, PA to the late Harry and Mildred Gilmore, Anne resided in Roslyn, PA before moving to Willow Grove, PA 40 years ago.

Anne received her diploma as an LPN from the Eastern Center for Arts and Technology and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 20 years in several hospitals and doctor offices throughout her career. She was also an active member and choir member with the Church of the Open Door in Ft. Washington, PA for 10 years.

Anne was the beloved wife of 40 years to James W. Springfield; devoted mother of Kimberly Springfield, Eric Springfield and wife Danica, and the late James W. Springfield, Jr.; dear sister of David Gilmore, Caryn Schneider and husband Bob, Brian Gilmore and wife Maureen; loving grandmother of Valencia and Vincent Springfield; cherished sister-in-law of Gail Allen and husband Buddy.

A memorial service will be held at Church of the Open Door, 1260 Ft. Washington Avenue, Ft. Washington, PA 19034 on Saturday, September 17th at 10:30 am. The family will receive their friends from 9:00-10:30 am prior to the service at the church. Light refreshments will follow the memorial service in the church hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Church of the Open Door would be appreciated.
